EL PAÍS, a prominent newspaper in Spain, offers a subscription for businesses and professionals that allows them to access tailored content , insights, and tools for professional development and industry trends.
Challenge
As a business, trying to subscribe to EL PAÍS was not a good experience. The design felt outdated, far from the newspaper standards and didn't appeal to the core demographic.
Result
The simple landing page evolved into a full ecosystem, a clean and polished design focused on the user experience and value content for the target audience.
The yellow is the brand color for the subscription exclusive content but it was not being used in an intentional way.
I thought it could be used as an indicator of “hey, here’s someone using their EL PAÍS subscription” and so a beam of light became the metaphor for that and an inspiration for all the imagery.
Also, taking inspiration from how the yellow is a color used to highlight important things, I used it as a graphic element across the site.
